2015 NKU Cross Country Series Begins Tuesday July 21

Got in an email from NKU Cross Country Coach Steve Kruse:
I would like to invite you to join the Norse this year for the NKU Cross Country series on the ever improving 3200m course in the recently acquired farm adjacent to NKU’s property. Many of you may remember the gravel road across from the Johns Hill from the softball field, affectionately coined “Gravelrama”. Now going under its new name of “Valhalla”, we have been diligently improving the trails and keeping the grassy paths mowed year round for a very race-able course for all ages.
The course is in such great shape that we have decided to expand our Cross Country series and add an additional date which will absorb the annual Brian Rohne Memorial race and add new energy and excitement to our end of summer Championship. The dates are as follows:
  • Race #1 Tuesday July 21, 7:00pm 3200m All ages Entry $5.00
  • Race #2 Tuesday July 28, 7:00pm 3200m All ages Entry $5.00
  • Race #3 Tuesday August 4, 7:00pm 3200m All ages Entry $5.00
  • Race #4 Tuesday August 11, 7:00pm 3200m Brian Rohne XC Age Group Championships. Entry $10.00

You can Pre-register for the entire series any time up to Race #1 for $25.00 and receive entry for all 4 races, a limited edition technical T-shirt, plus a $5.00 discount on your entry fee for the 36th annual Labor of Love – Valentines race in February 2016.
To register for any individual race, just simply show up and pay the $5.00 registration fee ($10.00 for the Championship race). Registration will be in the parking lot of the Grein Softball Complex, beginning at 6:00pm on race night.
Included is a link to the Cross Country website that will take you directly to the flyer for more information on the event and registration. http://nkunorse.com/documents/2015/2/6/2015_XC_Summer_Series.pdf
Remember: This is a race for all ages on a challenging but not too difficult course. The distance of 3200m is perfect to test your level of fitness against a son, a daughter, a mom, a dad or any number of friends that would be foolish enough to challenge your athletic skills. Are you up for the challenge?
